One of the world’s first web series!

David Penn just got his sitcom picked up — unfortunately, he may not live long enough to see it succeed.

Why would I include what was essentially the first thing I ever wrote and directed? Well, because it's what started my career.

A series that takes place in Bizarro Hollywood — where child actors live in the sewers and the guilds are at actual war with one another — Break a Leg was one of the first web series ever. The show garnered nearly 5 million views and massive, widespread press in publications like the Wall Street Journal, LA Times, SF Chronicle, The Times [London], The Huffington Post, Slate Magazine and many more.

It was eventually purchased by FOX Italia (weird, I know) and is the reason I am able to work in the industry. It's been a weird journey.
